The U.S. as a whole deserves better, than Bernie Sanders becoming the POTUS, because of his individual political philosophies.
On the other hand, his followers, and or fanbase constituents, would likely view him being the POTUS, as an individual benefit to them?
Why should the Rich, and or anyone else, for that matter, have to be taxed, just so that taxation could then be used to support, his followers, and or fanbase constituents, because of a future policy, that he's using as a part of his campaign talking points?

Then I feel sad, and very sorry, for the entire lot of the Bernie Sanders, followers, who feel that through his policy, that the Rich, and or anyone else, for that matter, should be taxed, just so that taxation could then be used to support, you, and the rest of his followers, and or fanbase constituents, from out of their very own pockets?

Socialism is an economic system, not a political one. Economic systems can be combined to use the best of each. The U.S. has used the socialistic system for years along with its democracy. No harm done, (a lot of GOOD, actually), NO "communism" absorbed along with it. Bernie just wants to use it a bit more. A bit more than may be good, but, that's what we have a Congress for, that's what we have freedom of speech for. WE, the PEOPLE, are supposed to do the governing (by proxy, at least). Social Security, Medicare, first responders, snow removal, road repair, etc. can all be called part of a "socialistic System". Bernie's kind. No problem. I'm SURE Bernie will not get all, or even NEARLY all of what he wants, but, what he DOES get will be for those who NEED it, not those who already have everything they need, and want more (for less).

Then again, what are his chances to win? He has been selling the red sand since 60-s, yet never made it past becoming an ordinary senator of a tiny state. He recently became a millionaire, which, after nearly 70 years of being jobless, is an achievement, I guess - but, frankly, there are better business plans out there than Bernie's.
He is welcome to run - but even Trump knows more about economics than him, and the one-on-one debates will only make Bernie even more flustered than he usually is. I think he is better to stick to speaking in front of his loyal supporters, as the competitive world is not his forte.

"but, he is saying what needs to be said."
If Bernie Sanders, was saying what needs to be said, and his campaign talk was going to benefit the country as a whole, instead of just his individual followers, then what is the likelihood that he might be getting just as much press coverage as Trump is getting?

The U.S. as a whole deserves better, than Cory Booker, becoming the POTUS, because of his individual political philosophies, as well?

From today's article:
"NEWARK, N.J. — Sen. Cory Booker returned to his hometown of Newark Saturday for what he billed as the official launch of his presidential campaign, which he previously announced via video on Feb. 1.
Though it's comparatively early in the race, Booker has met with mediocre polling and fundraising numbers while facing a crowded Democratic field."
"The former two-term mayor of Newark, where he began his political career in the city council, kicked off a two-week national tour centered around "Justice for All." Booker said that his commitment to low-income Americans is evident because he chooses to live near downtown Newark, home to many who fit that description.
His speech Saturday focused on Democratic ideals of health care for all, LGBTQ rights, economic equality and a pathway to citizenship for immigrants. But he also challenged the president's divisive rhetoric, vowing to stay above it."
"The president wants a race to the gutter and to fight us in the gutter. But to win, we have to fight from higher ground in order to bring this country to higher ground," Booker said to a crowd numbering 4,100 people according to the Booker campaign, which cited an assessment by the chief of security."
But Booker, who is a moderate candidate compared to some of the Democratic primary challengers, including Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, also challenged the progressive left, dismissing purity tests."
"Because the people on my block, the people gathered here and folks all across the country can't wait. They can't afford a politics of division that sacrifices progress for purity," Booker said. "They can't afford to allow this election to become just an exercise in political posturing or a box checking competition that is completely divorced from the realities of so many people who are struggling and hurting."
"And I know and you know that we don't have the privilege to wait for what fits into someone else's narrow view of what it means to be a progressive," Booker said.
Meanwhile, Booker left a lot of room for interpretation on an issue that is expected to be a defining one in 2020: health care. He said he supports an incremental approach to Medicare for All, mentioned the words "public option" and embraced the Affordable Care Act — positions that are all-encompassing."
I think that if Cory Booker, was maybe more self assured, with the entirety of his campaign strategy talking points, he wouldn't feel the need to mention the current President, as a part of his campaign talking points?
Or the need to mention, his followers, constituents, and the rest of the public, with this specific type of commentary?
"Because the people on my block, the people gathered here and folks around the country can't wait."
Because if you're maybe not a Democrat, or Socialist Democratic oriented, then his campaign words, maybe only divided some of the country more as a whole, instead of maybe having the desired affect, based upon his chosen word usages, that made up, his currently used campaign speech?
The same thing, for Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Beto O'Rourke, Nancy Pelosi, and Chuck Schumer as well.

Bernie is advocating for the people who do the work, but, likely NEVER will be rich … like that man. The politics of this country are stacked against those Americans, while those who can pay for the politicians to pass THEIR legislations, reduce THEIR taxes, allow the 2% every break, while SS and Medicare is taken from those that did the work to get them rich, those who DID pay for the roads, airports etc. that allowed them to ship their goods and GET rich, STILL pay their taxes for that infrastructure, while 60 of the largest corps that USE them pay NONE! If those corps payed only as much as they pay for lobbyists and lawyers to keep them from paying taxes, the workers wouldn't have to pay as much as they do. THAT'S what Bernie (and others) are working for, NOT another recession!
